Our 2-bedroom cottage is perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway for couples or older families wanting a quiet vacation. Our 2 bedroom cottage is 1600 sqft. In total you can sleep as many as 6 adults. Pets of any kind are always welcome. Lochside is located 2 minutes from the Village of Haliburton on Grass Lake which is part of the famous Haliburton 5 lake chain. This makes it convienient for both summer and winter rentals. Our rental cottage is situated on 1 acre of property with 150 feet of spectacular waterfront. We are south facing so sunshine is abound all day at the beach. Borrow one of our kayaks and discover the 5 different lakes we are part of or paddle into Haliburton village, just a 10 minute ride. Our waterfront is clean and weed free. We have a small beach that slopes in gently with no drop offs. Our dock goes out and has a ladder on the end for those who like to swimm off the dock. Docking you boat is easy and included in the price. Because our lake is not busy with watercraft taffic it fosters lots of wildlife. Loons and Great Blue Herrons are an everyday site and sound. On permitting nights you can have a bon fire. As you enter this executive rental you immediately know you are someplace special. Everywhere you look you see quality, attention to detail and a realization that the owners care and are proud of their property. The rental cottage is open concept with a spectacular walk-out and view of the lake. It has a full size kitchen, dinning area, deck, screened in porch, King sized bed or 2 twins, queen bed and pull-out couch. There is 1 3 piece bath room and 1 2 piece bathroom. All the furnishings are antiques with a Mexican flair. There is also a screened in porch and a coverd porch. Perfect for that romantic week with your favorite person and pet. In the winter enjoy the snow and access to your frozen Grass Lake which leads to the rest of the 5 lake chain. What makes this cottage so exceptional in winter is the easy 2 minute drive to Haliburton Village and if you are into downhill skiing, Sir Sam's Ski Area is an easy 15 minute drive from the cottage. Cross country trails are also nearby and there are hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails from which to choose from. Our gardens are spectacular and we have a stone fountain just outside your door with lights that light your way around the property. You'll enjoy your time at Lochside as we like a quiet peaceful envirnoment.
